This was a publicity campaign for the BBC's music output across all channels. I photographed the artists one by one over several months as they came to record their parts of the song God Only Knows by The Beach Boys, and all the portraits were then combined by retoucher Kaia Zak into a fantastical background environment.
It was a priviledge to photograph so many great artists, including Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Kylie Miinogue, Brian May, Paloma Faith, Zane Lowe, Sam Smith, Florence Welch, Lauren Laverne, Emilie Sande, Chrissie Hynde and many others.
